Our Completed Projects

Pop Up Play
This fantastic little project was affectionately known as PUP. It delivered facilitated pop up play sessions to families with young children, into various locations throughout Gympie from January to June 2018.
The project was supported with funding provided by Connect2Families, an initiative of the Department of Child Safety.
“Pop up Play has been a transforming experience for our 3 year old son and our family as a whole. Through the loving, caring, nurturing and most of all FUN environment these amazing girls create – we have seen our son thrive. PUP is more than a playgroup, it’s a warm cuppa and a welcome hug, a strong shoulder, it’s a place to unwind and breathe, it’s real, and it’s a family. “I Love Pop Up Play!”-“

Department of Communities - Thriving Communities
This short term community engagement project ran from September 2018 to February 2019
"We believe the community centre should belong to the community. While we strive to meet the requirements, priorities and visions of our various stakeholders, we would like to create a community centred, practice framework that is responsive to our community needs and priorities. We would like to be “doing with” rather than “doing to” or “doing for” our community." (*exert from funding application)
This project asked our community about their awareness of the community centre and their understanding of what the centre does. The findings showed that a large percentage of participants including the general public and various stakeholders were not aware of the centre or what happens here.
This project provided valuable information for developing the future direction and visibility of the centre within the local community. This information will be used in future strategic planning for the organisation.
