Community Connect Program
Community Connect is a program that aims to provide assistance and support for vulnerable families and individuals in our community, who are trying to deal with multiple complex issues. This may include issues such as domestic & family violence.
The Community Connect Worker is an experienced social worker. The program can provide assistance with:
- Hearing your concerns and identifying your support needs
- Providing you with some emotional, practical and personal support
- Finding other services and supports who can also help you
- Connecting you with other services and supports within your broader community
Am I Eligible?
Community Connect is a support program for individuals or families with multiple, high or complex needs. If you have a lot of things going on at the moment and you have no support around them, give us a call about connecting with Community Connect. If you are not eligible the community centre staff maybe able to assist you with other supports including information & referrals to other services.
Do I Need A Referral?
No you don’t. However if you have had the Community Connect Program recommended to you by another service or professional, it may be helpful to ask them to make a referral for you. Referral enquiries are done directly with the Community Connect Worker.
How do I get
The Community Connect Program is located at Gympie Community Place. You are welcome to call into the centre to make an enquiry about the service, but the worker is not always on site and may not be available for your enquiry. Reception staff will at the centre will assist you with general program information and they will provide information back to the Community Connect worker as needed.

Community Connect & Gympie Community Place are not crisis services and we do not operate after hours.
